Biography

Real name: Volodymyr Ihorovych Hudkov. Born 28 June 1988 in Kharkiv, son of a law enforcement officer. Graduated from the Kharkiv Music College and, in parallel, from the economics faculty of the National Technical University (Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute). Parents insisted on the degree. He got one - Financial Business Management - and went on Fabrika Zirok (Star Factory) anyway.

The stage name Dantes appeared there, in 2008. Romantic and a little provocative - named after Georges d'Anthès, the man who killed Pushkin. Most listeners aren't thinking about that when they play Chuyesh, though.

DiO.Filmy: 2008-2015

On Star Factory 2 Hudkov met Vadym Oliynyk. They reached the final together and won - as the duo Dantes & Oliynyk. Nataliya Mohylevska became their producer. First performance: December 2008, her concert at the Palace of Arts Ukraina in Kyiv.

2010 - renamed themselves DiO.Filmy, debut album Mne Uzhe 20 (I'm Already 20), 14 tracks. The title song dominated radio. Devochka Olya became the second big hit. Awards: Golden Gramophone, Zvukova Dorozhka as Pop Project.

2012 - Star Factory: Confrontation, invitation from Igor Krutoy to the New Wave festival. 2015 - the duo split. Dantes moved to television.

TV, radio and YouTube

After DiO.Filmy - announcer at Lux FM radio. Then Blyzhche do Tila on Novy Kanal (2012), Yizha Ya Lyublyu Tebe on Friday!, Malenki Hianty on 1+1, Liha Smikhu, Maskarad.

2021-2023 - heavy YouTube output: his own show Stand Up 380, Mama Ya Delayu Biznes, road show Mama Ya Hanyayu Tachky, and Budynok Kultury - a project filmed in de-occupied Ukrainian territories about reviving cultural life through concerts in village cultural centres.

The Pozheha (Fire) show with Oleksiy Durnev - a tour of European cities that raised significant funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Solo career

2019 - first return to music. Single Teper Tobi 30 (Now You're 30), then Bilshe Abo Menshe and Odnoklasnytsia.

2021 - first proper solo album Tvoya Lyubimaya Muzyka (Your Favourite Music). Featured Nadya Dorofeeva, Jerry Heil, Potap and Maksym Fadeev. First solo concert: December 2021, BELETAGE hall.

2022 - singles Obiymi, Not a Refugee, Tilky My. Switched to Ukrainian after 24 February - not just new songs but translated versions of older hits.

2023 - second solo album Kyty (Whales), 9 tracks, entirely in Ukrainian. Chuyesh hit 24 million plays on YouTube Music. The album included Ukrainian-language versions of Olya, Sasha and Sumni Tantsi (Sad Dances). Megogo Music Awards 2023 - Pop Artist of the Year. Zolota Zorya Lirum 2024 - Best Video for Chuyesh.

January 2025 - remake of Iryna Bilyk's 1997 hit Odinokaya with a new video. Duet Divchyno Mylo (Sweet Girl) with Khrystyna Soloviy - a modern version of the song Pryletiyla Lastivochka by the legendary ensemble Vodohray.

8 March 2026 - major solo concert in Kyiv at the KYT performance pavilion on VDNH, sold out. Presented songs from the upcoming album Treba Yty. Raised approximately 400, 000 UAH for the GUR MO unit Sakura.

21 January 2026 - song V Obiymakh (In Arms), official soundtrack to the film Vsi Vidtinky Spokusy (All Shades of Temptation). He also played the male lead in the film.

Personal

Met Nadya Dorofeeva on a train in 2011. Proposed three times - the first ring he made from champagne wire. Wedding 8 July 2015. Divorce 2022.
